Biography

Maia Andreasson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in Swedish language and syntax. Her research focuses on word order and information structure, particularly in North Germanic languages such as Swedish and Danish. She leads ongoing projects examining the development of object shift in child language, aiming to understand how young learners acquire complex grammatical structures. Andreasson is also involved in teaching grammar and didactics within the Teacher Education Program, providing support and supervision for both undergraduate and doctoral students. She has published educational materials and co-authored a textbook on grammar didactics in Swedish.
