Biography

Marc Andernach graduated from HfG Pforzheim, Germany, with a degree in Transportation Industrial Design in 2009 and completed a Master's degree in Transportation Design in 2012. He began his career as a freelance designer, primarily working with market research supplier companies in the automotive industry. In 2011, he led a six-month research project at the Institute of Computational Design in Stuttgart, in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio, where he served as the lead designer. After completing his Master's, Marc joined Jaguar Land Rover's Strategic Design Studio in the UK and continued in an Advanced Designer role in the Interior Design department, contributing to the design development of the Range Rover Velar and the Range Rover. Over the years at Jaguar Land Rover, Marc has expanded his design practice and relocated to Bristol, where he has regularly delivered guest lectures at the University of the West of England (UWE). He joined the university full-time in 2018 and currently serves as a Module Leader/Lecturer for various design modules. Marc is a Fellow of Higher Education (FHEA) and has expertise in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Strategic Design, and Design Thinking.
