Dr. Marc Nespoli

Biography

Marc Nespoli currently serves as Medical Director of the Mental Health Clinic at the VA Connecticut, Newington campus. In this position, Nespoli leads a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and administrative support staff. He manages a geriatric psychiatry outpatient clinic, providing care to older veteran patients. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University, Nespoli has taught courses related to capacity evaluations, cognitive assessments, and home-based psychiatry. He completed his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Yale University and his residency at Boston University. Nespoli obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont and has received the Sweetser Award for Excellence in Psychiatry. He has contributed to the literature, authoring a chapter in 'Psychiatric Guide to Home Based Primary Care' and co-authoring a chapter on Geriatric Assessment. Additionally, he has been an invited speaker for the Alzheimer's Association in Connecticut.
