Dr. Marcel Bergmann

Biography

Marcel Bergmann is a dedicated academic in the field of Pediatrics and Clinical Immunology, with a focus on food allergies and their connection to atopic dermatitis. He was born in Nyon and educated at the University of Lausanne, where he obtained his medical diploma in 2003. Bergmann specialized in Pediatrics in 2010 and further extended his expertise in Clinical Allergology and Immunology in 2014. He completed his Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Geneva in 2018 with a thesis evaluating food allergies in children. Currently, he works at the Pediatric Center of Mendrisiotto and as a consultant physician in clinical research at HUG. He also holds a position as a private lecturer at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at the Università della Svizzera italiana, where he has been involved in various teaching modules and has directed multiple master's theses. His research work has led to significant contributions, including studies on food allergies, medication allergies, and multiple systematic reviews. Bergmann is proficient in several languages, including French, German, Italian, and English, reflecting his diverse background and ability to engage with a broad range of academic and clinical audiences.
