Biography

Marguerite Lynn Williams is a distinguished harp lecturer and principal harpist at the Lyric Opera Chicago. Known for her 'ravishing harp artistry', Ms. Williams has performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Berliner Philharmonie, collaborating with renowned musicians and conductors including Daniel Barenboim and Gustavo Dudamel. She is a founding member of the Chicago Harp Quartet and has contributed to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and numerous international music festivals. Williams is also recognized as a dedicated educator, having founded the Chicago Harp Ensemble and served on the faculty at both the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University and the Chicago College of Performing Arts. She holds a Master of Music degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and an undergraduate Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. Her accomplishments include several awards from the American Harp Society and her active role in judging harp competitions.
