Biography

Marjana joined the Adam Smith Business School as a Senior Lecturer in January 2018. She has previously worked at the University of Essex and taught at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki and the Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to her PhD, Marjana worked in adult education and as a management training consultant in the small business sector. Her research interests are rooted in the Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour research cluster, focusing on gender diversity in organizations, multilingualism, and academic careers. She has also concentrated on the organisation of cultural production and has extensive experience in qualitative research methodologies, including ethnographic visual methods. Marjana has supervised various research topics related to gender diversity, women's careers, and organizational experiences in creative industries, as well as exploring the stress experienced by female police managers. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
