Biography

Mark Anderson is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Keyboard Division at the University of British Columbia's School of Music. With extensive training and a career marked by international acclaim, Anderson has achieved recognition for his exceptional performances across the globe. He has participated in prestigious competitions including the International Piano Competition in Japan and the Leeds Competition in the United Kingdom, receiving accolades for his artistry and musicianship. Notably, Anderson has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle and has performed at prominent venues including New York's Alice Tully Hall and London's Wigmore Hall. He is dedicated to expanding the piano repertoire, having researched and edited unpublished works, including those of composer Julius Röntgen.
