Biography

Mark Lee is an Industry Assistant Professor in the People Analytics group at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He has taught courses for over ten years in areas such as People Analytics, Statistics, Human Factors Engineering, and Workplace Design, and is set to join the faculty full time in 2025. In his academic work, Mark has focused on improving usability in a diverse range of industrial and consumer products and has contributed significantly to the Life Sciences industry through his role as Head of Research, Analytics, and Business Development at Underwriters Laboratories (UL). He has a background in Human Factors Engineering, having worked on projects that include innovative technology for fighter jets to consumer products in department stores. Mark’s industry experience also includes positions at AT&T, Lockheed Martin, NCR, and several others. He earned his PhD in Engineering Psychology with a minor in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests encompass People Analytics, Learning, Perception, Human-Computer Interaction, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in Clinical settings, including pharmacokinetics and manufacturing.
