Biography

Mark Young studies management control system design with a focus on the entertainment business. He has published numerous articles in prominent journals including the Journal of Accounting Research and The Accounting Review, as well as a book titled "Mirror Effect: Celebrity Narcissism Seducing America." Young has received several prestigious awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Management Accounting section and the Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award. He also serves as the Official Historian for the USC Men’s Tennis Team and has authored "Trojan Tennis: History of a Storied Men’s Tennis Program". Young is a distinguished fellow at the Center for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Southern California and is recognized for his contributions to teaching and innovation within the Leventhal School of Accounting.
