Maryam Alavi is a professor of Management who holds the Elizabeth T. Thomas M. Holder Chair at the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology. For her professional achievements, Dr. Alavi has received the Association for Information Systems Fellows Award, the Marvin Bower Faculty Fellowship from Harvard Business School, and was recognized as a Woman of the Year by Women in Technology Georgia. Additionally, she has served on several advisory boards and has been appointed twice as a Governor for the State of Georgia on the Georgia Technology Authority Board.
