Biography

Matthew Jordan currently serves as the Percussion Operations Inventory Manager at the University of Michigan. He is also a front ensemble arranger for Music City Mystique and has worked as a music producer and sound designer for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, the 2024 DCI World Champions, as well as a music designer for 'Commandant’s Own' United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps. Before joining the University of Michigan, Matt held roles as an Associate Professor of Percussion at Jacksonville State University and Concert Percussion Marketing Manager for Pearl Corporation/Adams Musical Instruments. He has also worked as an Assistant Director of Bands and Instructor of Percussion at Middle Tennessee State University. Matt has extensive experience as a percussion instructor and arranger for a number of DCI and WGI groups, including Phantom Regiment and Carolina Crown. He has arranged for scholastic indoor drumlines and marching bands, including groups in Bangkok, Thailand. He regularly performs with orchestras such as the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Matt completed his Doctor of Music degree at Florida State University, a Master’s degree at the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University. He is an artist clinician for Pearl/Adams instruments and Innovative Percussion.
