Biography

Maureen E. Canavan, Ph.D., is an epidemiologist affiliated with the Yale Cancer Outcomes, Public Policy Effectiveness Research Center (COPPER). She is currently engaged in evaluating quality metrics for cancer care as part of the Cancer Care Innovations Lab (CaCIL) at the Yale Cancer Center. Her research interests encompass health management, employment issues, and end-of-life care. Previously, she contributed to the Global Health Leadership Institute (GHLI), performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis on various GHLI studies conducted in countries such as Ghana, Ethiopia, and China. Dr. Canavan earned her MPH from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Public Health, and holds a BS in Biology from Pennsylvania State University. She completed her PhD at Yale University in 2011, specializing in epidemiology, health education, and behavioral science.
