Biography

Melanie Hamilton is an Assistant Professor in the Curriculum Studies at the University of Saskatchewan, where she also serves as the Director of the Jane Ron Graham Centre for Scholarship Teaching and Learning. With extensive experience as a registered nurse and over 20 years of teaching in Bachelor of Nursing programs in Alberta, she specializes in curriculum development, revision, and renewal. Melanie's research interests focus on various aspects of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), particularly in supporting early career researchers, mid-career faculty engagement, and academic integrity. She is actively involved in SoTL research both nationally and internationally and has contributed significantly to the field through numerous presentations and workshops. Melanie holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Western Ontario and has received several awards recognizing her commitment to teaching and leadership, including the ISSOTL Fellowship for her influential work in SoTL initiatives.
