Biography

Melissa Dockrill Garrett is an Associate Professor at the University of New Brunswick's Faculty of Education. Her academic interests focus on a variety of qualitative classroom-based research in inclusive practices for exceptional learners within French language learning contexts. Prior to her role at UNB, she worked as a French Immersion teacher at the elementary level for a decade. The knowledge and experience she gained during her time in schools, along with her passion for the French language, are embedded in the courses she delivers at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. She also recently became the chief editor of the Antistasis Education Journal.
