Biography

Melissa Ianetta is a Professor of Communication and the Executive Director of Writing Communication at the School of Literature, Media, Communication, Georgia Institute of Technology. With a research focus on writing program administration, writing center studies, and pedagogy, she has contributed significantly to the field through her work published in esteemed journals such as College Composition and Communication, College English, and PMLA. Ianetta has also edited the journal College English from 2017 to 2022. She co-authored the Oxford Guide for Writing Tutors: Practice and Research with Dr. Lauren Fitzgerald and has collaborated extensively on the Writing Center Journal, which earned the Phoenix Award for Significant Editorial Design Achievement.
