Dr. Melissa White

Biography

Melissa White is an Associate Professor at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in Adult Education. With a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto earned in 2004, she has an extensive background in education, having also completed a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree at the same institution and Mount Saint Vincent University respectively. Her research interests include Adult Education Theory, Policy, Community Development, and the Internationalization of Higher Education. Melissa has significantly contributed to the field through her roles in various professional associations, including serving as President of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education (CASAE) and participating in multiple committees related to graduate studies and ethics at her university. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Understanding Adult Learner and Program Planning. Melissa is actively involved in scholarly publishing and has served as a journal co-editor for special issues related to teaching and learning in adult education.
