Dr. Michael Green

Biography

Michael Green, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in General Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Green completed his residency and fellowship in general medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, associated with Harvard Medical School. He serves as the Director of the Student Assessment and the Teaching and Learning Center, as well as the Director of Clinical Skills Assessment at the Office of Education. Michael Green is significantly involved in medical education and has contributed to various national tasks, including the AAMC Core Entrustable Professional Activities pilot. His research interests focus primarily on clinical competence, competency-based education, evidence-based practice, outcomes assessment, and HIV medicine. He has received multiple national and regional awards for his contributions to medical education, including the Kimball Scholarship from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, he supervises medical residents at the Nathan Smith Clinic, providing comprehensive care for individuals living with HIV. Dr. Green has established a strong reputation for his dedication to improving medical training and patient care through his research and teaching endeavors.
