Biography

Mike Lehman is a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where his research explores potential borders and reimagines notions of human rights and belonging. He posits that the figure of the migrant is central to an alternative understanding of literature as a site of resistance, presenting pathways to envision new forms of global connection. His scholarship has been published in forthcoming issues of Crossings: Journal of Migration & Culture and Ariel: A Review of International English Literature, along with various edited collections. At Georgia Tech, he teaches composition courses focusing on multimodal communication, refugee and migrant narratives, as well as border rhetorics and aesthetics.
