Miles Haskins is a serving clarinetist and solo bass clarinetist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, currently in his 2017 season and previously acting associate principal during the 2016-2017 season. Since moving to Canada, Mr. Haskins has been a member of the New World Symphony based in Miami Beach, Florida. In addition to his orchestral work, he is a dedicated chamber musician, regularly performing with TSO Chamber Soloists at various festivals and societies across Canada, such as the Toronto Summer Music Festival, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and ChamberFest Dubuque. Haskins is also passionate about education, serving on the clarinet faculty at the University of Toronto and coaching for the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, along with presenting masterclasses at institutions like the New World Symphony and the Royal Conservatory. Mr. Haskins is recognized as a Buffet-Crampon Artist and D’Addario Woodwind Performing Artist, performing exclusively on Buffet-Crampon instruments.
