Biography

Miruna Buta is the director of the Online Master of Public Health program and an affiliate investigator at the Health Promotion Research Center. She serves as an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health and is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Sociology. Her research primarily focuses on healthy aging, social network analysis, and the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based programs. Buta earned her doctorate in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine in 2009, and holds a Master's degree in European Social Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Bucharest.
