Biography

Mohammadreza Pakseresht is an Adjunct Professor specialized in Nutritional Cancer Epidemiology at the University of Alberta. He graduated with a Medical Doctor degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran in 1996. Later, Pakseresht received a PhD in Nutrition Cancer Epidemiology from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom in 2009. His research interests primarily focus on the environmental risk factors associated with chronic diseases such as cancer and the development and validation of dietary assessment tools. In addition to his research, he teaches courses including NUTR 400 Research Methods in Nutritional Science and NU FS 458 Current Topics and Controversies in Nutrition. Pakseresht has authored numerous publications addressing various aspects of nutritional epidemiology, dietary habits, and their implications for cancer risk, aiming to advance understanding in this crucial area.
