Biography

Violinist Nancy Dahn enjoys an international career acclaimed as half of Duo Concertante, alongside her husband, pianist Timothy Steeves. They have performed 700 recitals across Canada, the United States, and internationally, at renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and more. Dahn regularly teaches at prestigious summer festivals and serves as co-artistic director. Duo Concertante has released fourteen acclaimed recordings, including a complete Beethoven sonatas set, and has a number of works that have garnered critical praise. Dahn is also deeply involved in chamber music, collaborating with notable artists and receiving accolades for her performances. A dedicated educator, she has led numerous workshops and masterclasses in North America and Europe, contributing significantly to the training of her students, many of whom have gone on to prestigious institutions. Dahn's contributions to violin performance and education have been recognized through her election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and her appointment as University Research Professor at Memorial University.
