Dr. Natalia Pakhotina

Biography

Natalia Pakhotina is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Texas A&M University. With a decade of experience in higher education, she teaches a wide range of courses from introductory principles classes to upper-level courses in both small and large enrollment settings. She is at the forefront of implementing innovative pedagogical strategies, particularly project-based learning and active learning approaches in large classes, which significantly enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Her commitment to educational excellence has been recognized through various teaching grants, including the High Impact Instructional Innovations Grant (H3I) and Digital Learning Faculty Support Grants. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Professor Pakhotina serves as a member of the Center for Teaching Excellence Advisory Board at Texas A&M University. Her research interests include public economics, education, and the application of learning technology in economics instruction.
