Dr. Nicole Abi Esber

Biography

Nicole Abi-Esber is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics. She holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from Harvard Business School. Her research has been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and focuses on how leaders can create climates of safety and inclusion that encourage everyone to feel safe to express their thoughts. Her work employs group laboratory experiments and conversation analysis methods, utilizing natural language processing. Prior to her doctoral studies, Nicole gained valuable experience as a product manager in technology startups within emerging markets, served as a researcher for the Government of Dubai, and worked as a research associate at the Behavioural Lab at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Nicole's areas of expertise include employee voice, psychological safety, conversation analysis, natural language processing, nonverbal behaviour, judgment decision-making, and experimental methods.
