Biography

Nicole Sheree Simmons is a Clinical Professor and the Director of the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law at Texas Law. She teaches the Public Service Internship course and plays a vital role in mentoring students in public interest law. Prior to her current position, Professor Simmons was the inaugural Director of the Texas Law Pipeline Program and spent thirteen years in the law school’s Career Services Office. Before joining academia, she practiced finance law at Mayer Brown LLP in Houston and returned to Austin in 2008. Professor Simmons holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. She is committed to enhancing students’ legal education through experiential learning and public service opportunities.
