Biography

Nikolaus Bönke is a research associate at the Department of Empirical School and Teaching Development Research at the University of Freiburg. He began his doctoral studies within the DFG project COACTIV-expeRt, focusing on the long-term development of teachers' professional competence. His current research investigates the role of individual resources in the long-term development and professional success of teachers, particularly regarding their professional knowledge, personal beliefs, and motivational orientations. In his teaching, he offers courses on research methods and pedagogical psychology. Additionally, he is the responsible administrator for the web-based subject pool database (SONA) and coordinates research activities within the laboratory rooms at the university.
