Dr. Nina Kivinen

Biography

Nina Kivinen is an Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering Management at Uppsala University. She is the program director for the new five-year engineering program in Industrial Engineering Management. Her research primarily focuses on creativity in work, with particular attention to gender perspectives, materiality, and the spaces of new organizational forms. Kivinen employs feminist theory and critical qualitative methodologies to explore these areas. She is also involved with a competence center named Anita, which examines the potential re-introduction of nuclear energy in Sweden. Previously, she served as an associate editor for prominent journals such as Gender, Work and Organization and Culture, Organization.
