Dr. Niranjan Janardhanan

Biography

Niranjan Janardhanan earned his Ph.D. in Management in 2018 from the University of Texas at Austin, with a focus on organizational behavior. His research interests involve understanding how employees construct identities and express their perspectives within teams and organizations. He has studied the effects of divergent individual experiences on team performance, leading to publications in prestigious journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and Organization Science. Currently, his research examines how employees manage multiple work identities, particularly during times of crisis, and how they reconcile diverse experiences to achieve coordination within teams. He has served as a reviewer for several top journals and conferences, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, and the Academy of Management. Prior to his doctoral studies, Niranjan received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, as well as an MBA in Strategy & Leadership from the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India. He also has several years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, financial services, and consulting roles across Asia and Europe.
