Biography

Dr. Ghorpade originally hails from Mumbai, India. After completing his basic surgical training in India, he pursued further training in Australia and then moved to Edmonton for heart-lung transplant surgery training. He completed his training in 2007 and has been working as a cardiac/heart-lung transplant surgeon since then, with a special interest in high-risk complex cardiac surgery and transplant surgery. Dr. Ghorpade is deeply committed to resident education and training, actively participating in the residency program at the University of Manitoba, where he has joined the faculty. His expertise has contributed significantly to the field of cardiac surgery, and he continues to engage in clinical research and mentorship for cardiac surgery residents. Dr. Ghorpade's active involvement in various research interests reflects his dedication to improving clinical outcomes as well as developing educational tools in the medical field.
