Dr. Omodunni Adeniyi

Biography

Omodunni Adeniyi is a Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education at the University of Manchester, specializing in lifestyle medicine and sustainability health inequality. With a commitment to combining clinical practice with academic leadership, she serves as the Deputy Associate Programme Director for Student Experience of the MBChB program. Dr. Adeniyi plays a crucial role in supporting medical societies to enrich the student experience and promote student voices. She is involved in the MBChB community and leads the recruitment, training, and support of community placement supervisors to ensure high-quality undergraduate placements in line with the General Medical Council's guidance. As an academic advisor and tutor, she supports students' professional development by delivering teaching across different year groups in the MBChB. Additionally, Dr. Adeniyi is a Professional Linguistics Assessment Board (PLAB) examiner for the General Medical Council and a Simulated Consultation Assessment Examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). Recognized as a Senior Fellow, she is also involved in mentoring colleagues to achieve Advance recognition and fostering professional development among the next generation of doctors. Her expertise is linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, addressing issues related to health inequalities and sustainability.
