Biography

Pascal Michelucci is a Professor in the Department of French at the University of Toronto Mississauga. His research interests focus on 19th and 20th-century French poetry, particularly the works of authors such as Alphonse de Lamartine, Stéphane Mallarmé, and Arthur Rimbaud, as well as the fiction of writers like Prosper Mérimée and Marguerite Yourcenar. Michelucci's expertise extends to semiotics, narrative theory, and the poetics of literature, with a keen interest in metaphor theory and critical genealogy. He has published extensively, including a book on metaphor in Paul Valéry's work and numerous edited volumes on semiotics. His articles examine the intersection of philosophy and literature, the evolution of narrative structures, and the historical development of literary forms. Additionally, he has contributed to the discourse on educational methodologies and reading theories.
