Dr. Paul De Cinque

Biography

Paul De Cinque is the Deputy Head (Engagement) and Chair of Brass Music Education at the University of Western Australia’s Conservatorium of Music. His teaching responsibilities include directing the trumpet studio, teaching brass studies and music education, as well as leading the Conservatorium Wind Orchestra and Trumpet Choir. Paul previously held a teaching position at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada. He has attained a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Music from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He received his undergraduate degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from the University of Western Australia. His research interests encompass Music Conducting, Composition, Arranging, Community Music, and Performance, particularly focusing on Trumpet and Euphonium. Paul is actively engaged in community music activities and regularly participates in workshops and seminars.
