Biography

Dr. Pei-Ying Lin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on test accommodations for students with disabilities and English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, along with large-scale and classroom assessments. Over the years, Dr. Lin has worked with diverse populations including children, youth, parents, in-service and pre-service teachers, as well as university faculty members and staff from testing agencies. Her research interests encompass a broad array of methods—including quantitative, qualitative, and experimental approaches—to study instructional assessment practices and policies for students with special needs, such as learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Lin continues to engage in numerous research projects related to these areas and actively contributes to the academic community by presenting at conferences and serving on executive boards for educational associations.
