Pejman Habibie is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at Western University, specializing in Curriculum Studies and Studies in Applied Linguistics. His research interests encompass socio-economics, socio-politics, knowledge economy, scientometrics, and academic literacies. Dr. Habibie's internationally recognized work focuses on English for Research Publication Purposes, particularly the challenges that multilingual scholars face when publishing in high-impact refereed journals. He examines academic publication practices within Anglophone and multilingual contexts, emphasizing the development of necessary academic literacies and scholarly writing skills. Dr. Habibie is also the founding co-editor of the Journal of English for Research Publication Purposes and a book series on the same topic, contributing significantly to the discourse on knowledge production and dissemination in higher education.
