Dr. Peter Carr

Biography

Peter Carr is an Associate Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Waterloo, focusing on the intersection of technology and business within society. His research delves into technology innovation, entrepreneurship, strategic management of technology, and project management, particularly in improving business performance and social impact through technology. He has substantial experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Operations and Supply Chain Management and Project Management. In addition to his academic role, he serves as the Program Director for the Digital Transformation Certificate and has authored course materials for online education. Prior to his position at Waterloo, Carr was the Executive Director at the Centre for Innovative Management at Athabasca University. He holds a Doctorate in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Cranfield University, UK. Carr's commitment to education is reflected in his extensive lecturing experience and contributions to the field through publications and development of educational resources, particularly for technology-enhanced learning in developing countries.
