Dr. Phani Radhakrishnan

Biography

Phani Radhakrishnan is an Associate Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Toronto. He specializes in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, having conducted extensive research on role culture, race, and organizations. He obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1996. Since joining the University of Toronto in 2000, he has also taught at the University of Illinois, the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Windsor. In his teaching, he focuses on areas such as Negotiation, Team Building, Leadership Development, and Human Resources. Radhakrishnan has consulted for governmental agencies, including the Army Environmental Research Laboratories, as well as non-profit organizations like Catalyst. He has published 25 articles in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at 80 conferences. His work has appeared in prestigious journals including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the Academy of Management Journal, and the Journal of Applied Psychology. His research on racial harassment has been funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health, and he has presented on this topic before the Senate of Canada concerning amendments to Bill C65.
