Dr. Philipp Sadowski

Biography

Philipp Sadowski's work focuses on microeconomic theory, decision theory, and behavioral economics. His central research interest is to understand the interaction between observable economic behavior and the formation of beliefs. Topics of his research include subjective learning, rational inattention, changing tastes, and other-about motives like shame and magical thinking. Philipp has published his research in leading journals and has presented his findings internationally. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Duke University and serves as the Director for PhD Placement in Economics. His recent publications include studies on adaptive preferences, subjective information choice processes, and stable behavior under generalized partition, analyzing various aspects of decision-making and economic behavior.
