Dr. Photini Coutsougera

Biography

Photini Coutsougera is a Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her research focuses on phonology, specifically in relation to Greek dialects. She holds a PhD in Linguistics with a specialization in Phonology from the University of Reading, UK. She also completed her MA in Theoretical Linguistics at the same university and obtained her BA in English and Greek Language Literature from the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens, Greece. Coutsougera's academic interests include phonology, language acquisition, and lexicography. She has published work on various topics related to her areas of expertise, including a book on Northeastern Arcadian Greek and articles examining code-switching and syllable structure in Arcadian Greek. Her contributions to the field are recognized through publications in reputable academic journals.
