Dr. Prashant Bordia

Biography

Prashant Bordia is a Professor in Management at the Australian National University. His research focuses on insights from social organizational psychology to understand individual behavior, group processes, and organizational practices. His past studies have explored themes such as rumor, communication, uncertainty management, and organizational change. Bordia's current interests include work and aging, post-retirement engagement, role identity processes during the transition to retirement, and workplace stress throughout the lifespan. His work has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Academy of Management Journal, and he co-authored the seminal book 'Rumor Psychology: Social Organizational Approaches' with Nicholas DiFonzo. His research has received funding from the Australian Research Council and the National Science Foundation.
