Biography

Rachelle Shannahan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Brunswick, an MBA in International Business, and a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Supply Chain Management from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. Joining the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University in July 2009, she previously served as an assistant professor at the University of New Brunswick. Dr. Shannahan is an active member of the American Marketing Association and the Society for Marketing Advances. Her industry experience includes several years in major sales and marketing organizations. She teaches courses in introduction to marketing strategy, services marketing, research, and customer relationship management. Her primary research interests include studying customer influence in the personal selling process, salesperson performance in a relational, business-to-business context, and the impact of customer participation in service delivery on customer satisfaction. Her research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice.
