Biography

Rahul Jain is a Professor at the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and has received his Master’s degrees in Statistics from UC Berkeley and in Electrical Engineering from Rice University. Prior to joining USC in August 2008, he worked at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. His research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence, specifically in Stochastic Systems, Online Learning, Statistical Reinforcement Learning, and related applications such as Autonomous Robotics and Intelligent Transportation. He is actively involved in editorial duties and has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE journals. He has also received numerous awards including the NSF Early CAREER Faculty Award and the ONR Young Investigator Award.
