Rajiv (Raj) Gupta, PhD, MD, is a Lecturer in Nuclear Science and Engineering. He serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and is the Medical Director of Enterprise Neuroradiology at Mass General Brigham. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and a Visiting Professor in Technical Medicine at the University of Twente, Netherlands. At MGH, he directs the Advanced X-ray Imaging Science (AXIS) Center and is focused on clinical practice, research, and education in radiology administration. His research interests include developing novel X-ray imaging modalities, such as fifth-generation CT, ultra-high resolution CT, and multi-spectral CT; creating cost-effective devices for image-guided interventions; and studying traumatic brain injury (TBI) utilizing advanced quantitative MRI techniques. Previously, he has taught courses such as Radiation Biophysics.
