Dr. Rebecca Quintana

Biography

Rebecca Quintana is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Marsal Family School of Education at the University of Michigan (U-M). She co-leads the Rackham Learning Experience Design Graduate Certificate and teaches in the Educational Studies program, with a focus on Designing Innovation: Learning, Instruction, and Technology. Her scholarship emphasizes the application of learning sciences in designing technology-rich learning environments that promote social interaction and immersive learning experiences. Dr. Quintana is committed to advancing equitable and inclusive approaches to instruction and has been recognized with a teaching innovation award from the Digital Studies Institute. She is an active presenter at major research conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the International Conference on Learning Sciences. Quintana currently holds an elected position as Program Chair of the Online Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group (SIG) at AERA. Her research has been published in various outlets, including Information Learning Sciences, Tech Trends, and the Online Learning Journal.
