Biography

Rebecca Upsher commenced her academic journey at King's College London as a Master's student in Health Psychology, later pursuing a PhD in the Diabetes, Psychiatry & Psychology research group. During her doctoral studies, she actively co-supervised BSc and MSc students, which fostered her passion for teaching in higher education. After completing her PhD, she worked as a post-doctoral research associate, leading projects aimed at enhancing student wellbeing through curriculum-based interventions. As a current lecturer in Psychology (Education) in the BSc Psychology programme, she focuses on research and teaching practices that support student wellbeing. Her research interests include the integration of artificial intelligence in education, the evaluation of pedagogical methods, and the development of assessments that leverage AI to enhance student learning experiences. Upsher is also involved in various committees and projects aimed at improving mental health education within higher learning institutions.
