Biography

Rhian teaches operations service management across a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive courses. She formerly worked as a production manager at Mitaka, a translation printing company in the Far East. Rhian then became a Research Fellow in the Operations Management Group at the University of Warwick. Her research focuses on service management, particularly in collaboration with large leading-edge organizations, including retail companies, banks, transport companies, and call centers. She has acted as a consultant for ward managers in NHS hospital trusts, NHS Direct, and in the area of nurse scheduling and computerization of rostering systems. Rhian has reviewed papers for ten international journals and is a member of the European Operations Management Association.
