Dr. Rhiannon Allen

Biography

Rhiannon Allen is an Affiliate Professor at the University of British Columbia and a Professor Emerita at Long Island University-Brooklyn. She has a robust background in Developmental Psychology and has published extensively in the fields of Cognitive, Clinical, Social, and Cultural Psychology. Allen completed her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia in 1974 and earned her MPhil and PhD degrees from the City University of New York by 1983. Her academic work focuses on implicit learning, cultural psychology, and psychological assessment, reflecting her commitment to understanding cognitive processes among diverse populations. As an experienced educator, Allen has led several graduate supervision initiatives and has made significant contributions to the academic literature, including influential papers and textbook chapters.
