Biography

Rhonda Fowler is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University, where she has been a faculty member since 2015. She holds a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University. Dr. Fowler is also the Associate Department Head for Undergraduate Affairs and serves as the Internship Coordinator. Her teaching focuses on undergraduate courses covering foundations of Human Resource Development, the legal and ethical environment of HRD, capstone seminars, and professional internships. Her research interests encompass career development within human resource development frameworks, as well as creating inclusive learning environments that support first-generation students and students of color, particularly African American and Hispanic students. Dr. Fowler has initiated a formal mentoring program aimed at staff in the School of Education and Human Development and is developing programs for first-year and transfer students of color. She has published articles in several academic journals and has received the CEHD Faculty Climate Award in 2017 for her contributions to improving educational outcomes for underrepresented groups.
