Professor Dr. Rick Hackett

Biography

Rick Hackett is a Professor Emeritus specializing in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at McMaster University. He holds the position of Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Organizational Behaviour and Human Performance within the DeGroote School of Business. As a distinguished academic, Hackett's research interests focus on executive and managerial assessment, leadership development, human resource recruitment and selection, work attitudes, absenteeism, and performance assessment. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association and has contributed significantly to the fields of organizational behaviour and management. Throughout his career, he has been involved in multiple research initiatives and teaching activities aimed at enhancing management practices and organizational outcomes.
