Biography

Robert Pippin is the Evelyn Stefansson Nef Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Chicago. He has been teaching at UChicago since 1992. Pippin is a prominent scholar in German idealism and modern philosophy, with a particular focus on Kant and Hegel. His extensive research interests include theories of normativity, self-knowledge, and the philosophy of the arts.
