Dr. Robert Schroth

Biography

Dr. Robert Schroth is a distinguished professor and clinician scientist at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba. His career is focused on improving oral health outcomes for infants and preschoolers, particularly among vulnerable populations. He currently serves as the acting division head of community dentistry and as a section head of pediatric dentistry, holding a cross-appointed position in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the Max Rady College of Medicine. Dr. Schroth is also affiliated with the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba and works as a staff dentist at Mount Carmel Clinic and the Centre for Community Oral Health. He has contributed significantly to the field of epidemiological research, particularly concerning Early Childhood Caries (ECC) and the impacts of nutrition and prenatal factors on oral health. His leadership in projects such as the Healthy Smile Happy Child initiative reflects his commitment to community development and effective oral health promotion.
